Palm PDAs and Linux - KPilot
- KDE application.
- Fairly primitive, but slowly improving.
- Provides access to 2 of the common databases provided with the
Palm - address book and memo.
- You can use it to install software on the Palm, and sync your
Palm.
- KPilot provides conduits for mail, calendar to do, KNotes and
KAddressBook. You have to do a bit of work to get the data from your
Palm to pass through KPilot to other applications.
- The KDE Help Center with KPilot gives great information on usage
and capabilities.
- At this stage, I prefer to use JPilot, but development on it is
slowing, while KPilot development is increasing. I might switch one
day. Right now, JPilot is more functional.
