Sydney from Centrepoint 2004

[Travel]

April 2004

Another distance shot, looking past Darling Harbour.

[Looking past
Darling Harbour]

Looking straight down again. Up at the top is the right edge of the Queen Victoria Building. That's George Street in front of it with all the white road markings. Down a bit from the QVB, you can just see a little bit of red on the edge of that building. That's the Gowings sign. The street that crosses George Street and is heading from bottom middle to upper right is Market Street. The street right below me that crosses Market Street is Pitt Street.

[Looking down on
Sydney some more]

Fixating on Darling Harbour again, this is a tall shot showing the monorail going out from the CBD to Darling Harbour across Pyrmont Bridge, and showing the waterways behind. At the bottom left is the Queen Victoria Building again, and Market Street runs up to Pyrmont Bridge. And behind Darling Harbour I can see the new bridge. It's now called Anzac Bridge, but I do remember that at ground level it looked Madonna's metal breastworks, and it had a nickname something about that until it was properly named Anzac Bridge.

[Monorail to
Darling Harbour]

More Darling Harbour. I must have spent a lot of time there in the 90s to be this fixated on it.

[More Darling
Harbour]

Now I don't know what these blocks are called, but I've spent a lot of time walking past these buildings on the way to the buses at Wynyard.

[Big blocks of
Central Business District]

Now we're moving again. This is to the right of Darling Harbour, working our way to the Bridge.

[In Between Darling
Harbour and the Bridge]

Moving further to the right, we hit the bridge. Sydney Harbour Bridge.
